About Me
I attended UNC Asheville, where I studied Ecology and Environmental Biology. I was born and raised in Northern New Jersey; and before teaching I worked there, both at Stokes State Forest and then with NJDEP Division of Water Monitoring and Standards. I moved to Morganton, NC and currently live there with my chunky cat, Pimento. My passion in life is nature and the outdoors. I have an optimistic and excited attitude about science and the natural world, an attitude that I hope is contagious to my students. I want to encourage students to think critically, outside the box, about the changing world we live in. What issues dominate our ecological environment? As a new generation, what can we do to problem solve? Action and education are no longer optional - they are our future. If you have any questions or concerns, I really encourage the students to try effectively communicating with me-- my door is always open! |
